CCHF has asked Congress to request The Office of the National Coordinator of Health IT (ONC) publicize their report on creating a Unique Patient Identifier. ONC recently submitted to the Senate Labor, Health and Human Services (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee a report on their recommendation regarding funding a Unique Patient Identifier. However, they have not made this report public. CCHF has written to the Chair and Ranking Member of the Labor-HHS subcommittee, and the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, requesting that the report be made public.
