Rep. Peggy Scott (R-Andover), Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Committee in the Minnesota House is holding a very important hearing on medical privacy on Tuesday morning, Feb. 17. This will be a special presentation called "Protecting Medical Privacy in Minnesota."

We need as many people there as possible to support protecting medical privacy and to show their appreciation to Rep. Peggy Scott for holding this important hearing!

There will be a major presentation by CCH Freedom with a variety of speakers we've invited to cover topics such as MN's January 1, 2015 electronic health record mandate (every doctor, dentist, psychologist, clinic, hospital required to put your data on the grid without exception), the impact of the federal HIPAA 'no-privacy' Rule, an overview of Minnesota's much better medical privacy law, and so much more.

Why Come? Because there are major forces at work trying to end medical privacy in Minnesota this session!

We need a VISIBLE show of support! Help us get at least 50 people in the room. (we'll have stickers for you to wear)

If you cannot come, please send an email to the committee administrator thanking Rep. Scott, sharing your perspective on the importance of protecting medical privacy in Minnesota and asking for your comments to be added as testimony for the Feb 17 privacy hearing. Committee Administrator is: Callie Lehman <Callie.Lehman@house.mn>

Come support Rep. Peggy Scott's special initiative to protect your privacy!

I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, and hearing that you're coming!
