Help Shut Down Obamacare!

 

Obama and Democrats wants a multi-billion dollar Obamacare bailout to be included in the year-end appropriations or tax-extenders bills. Without it, Obamacare will have difficulty surviving. Please act now! 
 
 
Call Congress and simply say: 
NO OBAMACARE BAILOUTS FOR HEALTH INSURERS! DO NOT USE OUR DOLLARS TO FUND THE LOSSES OF HEALTH PLANS THAT CHOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN OBAMACARE. KEEP BAILOUTS OUT OF THE APPROPRIATIONS AND TAX EXTENDER BILLS!
 
The Affordable Care Act includes a three-year "risk corridor" provision that shifts dollars from health plans with healthy people to health plans with sick people. But so little money came from health plans with healthy people ($362 million) that Obama wanted to use other federal taxpayer dollars to make up the different.
 
Sen. Marco Rubio stopped the President’s plan for a bailout of 2014 losses last December, by getting Congress to prohibit risk corridor payments greater than revenue from the “risk corridor” program. As a result 12 of the 23 Obamacare co-ops have shut down, and UnitedHealth Group is planning to exit the Exchange. And the Obama administration could only pay out 12.6% ($362 million) of the $2.87 billion in “risk corridor” claims submitted by health plans with sick people. 
 
WHY ACT NOW?  The Friday, December 11 deadline for re-upping government-wide spending across a multitude of federal agencies has Congress in the midst of fierce negotiation on spending priorities. And a two-year “tax entenders” bill is under consideration. If citizens don’t make some noise, one of the bill could include a multi-year, multi-billion taxpayer-funded Obamacare bailout for health plans.
 
Stopping Obama’s “risk corridor” bailout for insurers is how we can stop Obamacare! Tell Congress to refuse to fund Obama’s bailout of insurers in the pending Appropriations and Tax Extender bills!
