REAL ID is an attack on state sovereignty. It is not innocuous, it is not just another type of state driver’s license…and it is not required to fly, despite what many say. REAL ID is a federally-controlled ID card. MN legislative leadership is pushing for passage, even as 116 PENNSYLVANIA legislators sent a letter to PRESIDENT TRUMP asking him to stop Homeland Security’s unconstitutional overreach. Under the Tenth Amendment, no state needs to conform to REAL ID…or pay the millions of dollars each year to do so.

We can still stop REAL ID in Minnesota! But we need you!

The Senate Judiciary committee will be VOTING on the REAL ID bill. Yesterday the entire hearing was devoted to testifiers (pro and con) and member’s questions. Please let us know if you can join us as a visible support in the room.
