Last night, CCHF’s 2017 fundraising dinner was packed with individuals who heard a message of hope for the future of health freedom from CCHF president Twila Brase and Fox News’ Pete Hegseth (in photo below). One audience member later said what she loved the most was the optimism!
Brase talked about CCHF’s connections in the Trump administration as a result of building relationships in D.C. over the years -- and said CCHF isn’t waiting for Congress to give us freedom. CCHF is building escape hatches back to freedom even if the ACA is never repealed, including The Wedge of Health Freedom. Having just heard about The Wedge from Brase’s “Five Reasons to Give” presentation, Pete called The Wedge a “disruptive” initiative, which is exactly what’s needed in the fight for freedom.
Doug Smith, MD, a physician based in Minneapolis, told the audience about how his third-party-free practice is growing as a result of being in The Wedge. Attendees told us they loved the real-life example.
Pete Hegseth said some organizations send fancy marketing materials about what they’re doing more than doing the work of freedom, while other organizations actually do the hard work of freedom. He put CCHF in the second category—and called on the audience to support our work.
Twila, with the help of emcee Howard Root, unveiled the surprise of the evening: the front cover of Big Brother in the Exam Room, a CCHF book she authored that will be published in early 2018. For those of you who were with us, thank you for honoring us with your time and your presence. Your financial support last night and in the days to come is greatly appreciated.
