The Blitz Begins

The Obamacare blitz has begun. There are just 96 days until Obamacare kicks off on October 1 with open enrollment into Obamacare through the government’s health exchanges. The exchanges are the heart and soul of Obamacare. If the exchanges fail, Obamacare fails:

“The ACA cannot be implemented without an insurance exchange in each state. It’s a go or it’s a no-go. It’s that simple.” -- Robert Laszewski, policy strategiest.

The Exchange is the Achilles’ heel of Obamacare. Thus, the Obama administration is doing everything possible to make it a success by snookering the American public into Obamacare. We have some great ideas for you below to change the debate, but first, here is just a taste of what President Obama and his cronies are doing to push enrollment in Obamacare:

  • The AARP will work with the Hispanic Federation, La Raza, Esperanza and others to target the Hispanic communities.
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana is organizing community non-profit groups, churches, chambers of commerce and food banks to get the word out.
  • Enroll America’s “Get Covered America” campaign, launched June 18, will send volunteers door to door, into farmers’ markets and churches in 18 states.
  • The Obama administration is in conversation with the NBA and the NFL in their drive to use sports teams to push Obamacare enrollment this fall.
  • President Obama, HHS Secretary Sebelius, and other officials will be traveling the country to spread the message, paid for by you, the taxpayer. (POLITICO Pro, June 24, 2013)

You can counter their campaign blitz! The good news is Obamacare is more unpopular than in March 2010 when it was passed – 49% now oppose it. But the Obama team is determined (see what they’re up to above).

So, do whatever you would do during a typical election campaign to fight for your candidate – Health Freedom – to win against the other guy – Obamacare:
  • Signs: Put up signs in your yard asking people to “Refuse to Enroll” in your state’s Obamacare Exchange. Use the name of the Exchange (e.g. on the sign and our url:
  • Social Media: Use Facebook, Twitter and other social media to share the top four reasons not to enroll:
  1. No private insurance – Obamacare is “Medicaid for the middle class”
  2. No privacy -- data enters federal database accessible to IRS
  3. Limited choice – coverage is “narrow network” policies
  4. High cost premiums – income redistribution to pay for Exchange operations and the cost of the uninsurables.
  • Speak up: Talk about the Exchange to everyone. Use CCHF diagrams (like FoxNews Andrea Tantaros did). Share the truth about Exchanges. The entire country is in the Freedom vs. Obamacare campaign.
  • Letters to Editor: Write letter to small and large newspapers.
  • Townhall meetings: Hold non-partisan meetings in your community to tell the truth about the Exchanges.
  • Churches and Civic Groups: Bring in speakers that tell the truth about the law and the Exchange – or host a discussion/debate.
  • Distribute information: Share CCHF’s “Refuse to Enroll” flyers and brochures at state and county fairs, political meetings, election campaign headquarters, and tea party gatherings.
