CCHC Invited to Washington D.C. to Address Citizen Concerns Regarding Pending Medical Privacy Legislation

Saint Paul, Minnesota - On Thursday, June 8, 2006, Twila Brase, president of Citizens' Council on Health Care (CCHC) will be speaking in Washington, D.C.

She will discuss the impact of pending federal medical privacy legislation on patient care, individual liberty and private contracting. Members of Congress, congressional staffers, and members of the national press have been invited to attend the public policy briefing sponsored by The Liberty Committee:

"Your Medical Privacy...What You Don't Know"

Ms. Brase will join Sue Blevins, president of Institute for Health Freedom and Jim Pyles, the attorney representing plaintiffs in the federal lawsuit against the HIPAA medical privacy rule, Citizens for Health vs U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
