Take Action! MDH has issued a request for information (RFI) to gather information from the public to make their case against the strongest-in-the-nation Minnesota medical privacy law. The questions in the RFI are clearly slanted toward generating data to pressure legislators into repealing the MHRA and removing Minnesota’s consent requirements.
Please fill out your responses to stop repeal of MN's medical privacy law (DEADLINE: Monday, October 17, 2016 @ 7pm)

ST. PAUL, Minn.—Minnesota lawmakers yesterday advanced a bill that would ensure greater patient privacy protection by requiring patients to initial each item to which they are consenting on their health records at the doctor’s office, hospital or clinic—thus allowing patients to pick and choose exactly what information they would like to be shared between medical professionals and for what purposes, says Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF, www.cchfreedom.org), which testified yesterday in support of the bill.
WHY IS THIS ROOM EMPTY?
Because Minnesotans don't realize that State legislators are preparing to give Federal officials sole control over identification, driving, purchasing, transportation and movement. This control is called REAL ID.

ST. PAUL, Minn.—In a positive step toward freeing small private practice clinics from intrusive state regulations, a Minnesota State House of Representatives committee last week accepted an amendment that would reduce the reach of the state’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) mandate. The amendment was drafted by Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF, www.cchfreedom.org), a Minnesota-based national organization dedicated to preserving patient-centered health care and protecting patient and privacy rights.

ST. PAUL, Minn.—For more than a century, the contact information from state registration of births has been public in the state of Minnesota. And that information is how Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF,www.cchfreedom.org), a Minnesota-based national organization dedicated to preserving patient-centered health care and protecting patient and privacy rights, recently sent nearly 10,000 letters to parents of newborns, letting them know that the state of Minnesota is storing and can use their baby’s DNA for genetic research without consent.

ST. PAUL, Minn.—As the new year began, doctors and mental health professionals discovered a troubling Minnesota mandate, the only one like it in the entire nation. On January 1, 2015, every health care provider in the State of Minnesota was required to employ an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system—which could cost tens of thousands of dollars and will compromise patients’ private medical information.
