St. Paul, Minn.—One patient advocate has many concerns about Obamacare and the new state exchanges being created to implement the Affordable Care Act. But perhaps the most pressing concern for Twila Brase, co-founder of Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom, is the federal “System of Records (SRO),” an expansive, government-run database that will store Americans’ private information through the state exchanges.
The health care reform debate is littered with false statements. Truth is hard to come by. However, several recent news stories counter a whole series of mistruths and half-truths. Here are just three falsehoods -- there are many more, including one countered in our news release below -- and the new facts and findings that counter the false claims:

St. Paul, Minn.—One of the benefits of shopping online in the Obamacare health exchanges was supposed to be the easy, simple method of obtaining insurance. But new information from an industry insider reveals that 80 percent of Americans will need personal assistance in the process—and the Obama Administration is spending hundreds of millions of dollars, scrambling to convince Americans to sign up for higher premiums and privacy intrusions inherent in the exchanges.
Employers have found an Obamacare loophole. According to ACA regulations, "minimum essential coverage" with a robust and rich set of benefits is required only for plans offered to individuals and small businesses with less than 50 employees.
South Dakota Senator Thune sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew asking that the IRS be removed from enforcement responsibilities for the ACA due to the controversial deference and admitted misconduct in granting tax exempt status for political and educational groups.
