ST. PAUL, Minn.—The recently released 2019 Medicare Trustees Report shows that Medicare spending will spike by 2038, with total Medicare costs expected to grow from 3.7% of gross domestic product in 2018 to 5.9% in the next 20 years, Modern Healthcare reported.

ST. PAUL, Minn.—According to a new study from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the nation may face a shortage of nearly 122,000 physicians by 2032, Healthcare Dive has reported.
In part, the article blames the shortage on the “graying” of America, as both medical professionals and patients age, stating that “one-third of active doctors will be older than 65 within the next decade.”

PAUL, Minn.—This past November, Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF) and 37 other respected organizations urged President Donald Trump via a letter to allow senior citizens to voluntarily opt-out of Medicare—without losing their Social Security benefits. Four more groups have recently signed on to the letter: Americans for Prosperity, Concerned Veterans for America, Practicing Physicians of America and Americans for Tax Reform.
