Rick Baker founded Timely Medical Alternatives in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2003, 19 years after Canada enacted a single-payer system.

His company works with a network of facilities to help “wait-list weary” Canadians access to timely, expediated, discounted medical care through a network of facilities in and outside of Canada.
