U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. is coming to Minnesota for CCHC event

CCHC is excited to announce that U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. has committed to be here - in Minneapolis, Minnesota - on Tuesday, October 10th to attend and actively participate in CCHC's annual Health Care Event.

In addition to his demonstrated leadership in the United States Senate - on issues of critical importance to our citizens - Senator Coburn is also an acclaimed medical doctor, specializing in Family Practice and Obstetrics.

Dr. Coburn shares the concerns of so many Minnesotans - and our fellow Americans - about the current state of health care, and will be here specifically to address attendees on the state of health care in America.

Dr. Coburn wants to hear first hand from individual citizens as well, and has agreed to also participate in our traditional interactive Q&A with conference attendees. This is an opportunity that all Minnesotans who care about the many critical health care issues confronting the nation will not want to miss.

Dr. Tom Coburn, M.D. is a U.S. Senator from the state of Oklahoma, and a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Dr. Coburn has been a key proponent of accountability and transparency at all levels of government. As Chairman of Federal Financial Management, he has held hearings on improper government payments. Three days ago, legislation co-sponsored by Dr. Coburn and Senator Barack Obama (D - IL) to create a comprehensive database of government spending was signed into law by President Bush.
